DESCRIPTION

PHYSIOMAPPER is an online resource for comparing multiple properties of bacterial strains, presenting the information as an exportable table or mapped onto a 16S rRNA phylogenetic tree. The tool provides sequence and physiological/metabolic information about sets of organisms that match user-provided physiological/metabolic search patterns. At present, over seventy bacterial strains are represented, chosen primarily from Delta-Proteobacteria.

Users are encouraged to contribute new strains to the database.
