Registration and Login
All information entered during Registration is strictly confidential and is used to provide administrators with information to identify what record or changes are submitted, or to contact a user if an additional information is required. Only registered users can contribute or make changes to the database.
To register, you must provide a valid email address so that a login password may be sent to you. A user may also be contacted for research purposes if there are questions regarding a particular submission.
To log in, enter your email address as your username and password that was emailed to you.
If data submissions contain irrelevant or inaccurate data, a user will be warned and allowed to correct the data. In cases of "spamming" the database with irrelevant records or changes, a user's password will be cancelled.
Editing/Adding new strains and properties or how to use Editor Tool
The Editor Tool addresses the frequent changes in the discovery of new species and changes to a species' properties, and the need to see such changes immediately reflected in the database of species.
When submitting records, all fields should be filled out to the best of a user's knowledge. Once a record has been submitted, it will be included in added to the database. If you need to add a new property, such as a new electron acceptor or donor, or have any other changes that cannot be submitted via the web form, contact physiomapper@bugaco.com.

Acknowledgments
We are grateful to all colleagues who contribute information on strains and thus help create a database that helps improve our understanding of physiological relationships among various organisms.
We would like to thank Modupe Adeleye (MIT, .06) for data entry and programming help.
